Great Lakes 3v3 Soccer Academy
is back for its 2nd summer. Last year we had close to 200 kids
participate. Our goal is to provide our kids with elite level
training from some of the best coaches in the area and give our kids
maximum touches on the ball. We are not just a one week camp. We run
for 5 weeks. We have 1 day of training per week, 1 day of 3v3 games,
and a 1 day tournament at the end of the session. Work with a
different coach every week and take something you learn from each
one of them. See our schedule in the above tab. Hope to see you this
summer in Berea at Dora Lee Park. All abilities welcome from
beginner to advanced boys and girls.
Great Lakes 3v3 goes to Florida! January 2012 Orlando Florida.
Great Lakes 3v3 sent 4 teams down to
Orlando and participated in the
Kick-It-3v3 World Championship tourney at Disney's Wide World of
Sports. Great Lakes had a great showing. Our U10 boys won a World
Championship in the U10 Open Division and our U9 boys came away with
a 3rd place finish in the Elite Division. Also representing Great
Lakes 3v3 was a U8 boy and U11 girls team. Join us next year
in Florida - Great Lakes 3v3 is partnering with the 3v3
Live Soccer tour and will host a regional qualifier with the chance
to quality for a Disney berth. This qualifier will be held on August
11th and 12th at Lorain County Community College.
3v3 soccer is a game to continue developing
quick touches, 1v1 skills, shape, defensive strategies, transitioning from
offense to defense, passing, trapping, shooting. You can not hide in 3v3
soccer as everyone is involved. You will get more touches here in a small
sided game. This will translate over to build your confidence in full
sided soccer. There are no goalies, no offsides, no slide tackling. This
game is a teacher of all of the above. Most importantly it is fun!!
The 3v3 Soccer
academy is not to interfere or take you away from your current club, team,
academy or program. We want to work with your current team, not against
them. This is just another training method to give you more
opportunities to be around small sided soccer to ensure more touches on
the ball. We want you to take the tools you learn from 3v3 and use
them with your current team.
